About Mike

Mike Rose. Retired U.S. Army. Twenty-three years in the Signal Corps, including time as a drill sergeant and on the mat as a combatives instructor.

BLUF

I spent 23 years in the U.S. Army, in the Signal Corps. I served as a drill sergeant, and I'm an Army Combatives Level III instructor who taught Level I to Soldiers. Now I watch the fight game the way I learned to watch a fight: range, position, and who's breaking first.

Why this site

Fight fans need three things on fight night: the card, the start time in their time zone, and where to watch. Most sites bury that under spoilers and hype. This one doesn't. Here's the card. Here's where to watch. Here's what the line says. Here's what I'd watch for.

The military side is the part nobody else covers straight: how the services actually teach hand-to-hand, where the doctrine came from, and where it's going.

Standards

  • No spoilers on the front page, in titles, or in emails. Results stay behind a toggle.
  • Facts with sources. Every card, line, and ranking carries a timestamp and a source.
  • No picks for sale and no "locks." Odds are information. 21+, and know your limits.
  • Independent. Not affiliated with or endorsed by the UFC, any promotion, the U.S. Army, or the Department of War. Credentials are stated as facts; you won't see uniform photos used to sell anything here.
